In 2021, new tasks have been set for the IT competence center

At the end of 2020, the IT competence center of S. Amanzholov EKU was supplemented with new high-performance computing equipment as part of a partnership agreement for the development of STEM education.

The reports of the experts of the World Economic Forum "The Future of Jobs 2020", the work of foresight groups on the creation of the "Atlas of New Professions" revealed new challenges to the field of education, and in particular to the IT industry.

The IT competence center has started functioning in NJSC "S. Amanzholov EKU". In the experimental laboratories of this center, the following key tasks of improving the quality of personnel are solved: preparing students for better passage of various types of professional practices; ensuring the rapid adaptation of graduates in a real professional environment; using the potential of students to solve corporate problems of digitalization of the university; activating interaction with specialized partners and improving the IT competence of students.

NJSC "Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University" is actively updating its technical and technological equipment complexes so that the created competence centers can be a real experimental platform for improving the quality of training in conditions of full and mutually beneficial cooperation with leading IT associations. An example of this is the joint project of EKU S..Amanzholov and the MES of the RK with the support of the world Bank, will open in 2019, the academic research laboratory "Robolab". The fully equipped Robolab robotics laboratory contains all the necessary tools and technical training tools, and allows you to create and supplement ready-made robotic kits with your own parts. The uniqueness of these constructors lies in the fact that by combining parts from different sets, you can create a variety of models of any complexity and given accuracy, necessary for solving applied problems.

At the end of 2020, the competence center was supplemented with the supply of new high-performance computing equipment as part of a partnership agreement for the development of STEM education.

One of the directions of the STEM approach to education is to create sustainable links between school, society, work and the whole world, contributing to the development of STEM literacy and competitiveness in the global economy.

According to this project, a new master's degree program "STEM-education" is being developed, according to which it is planned to launch a set of undergraduates in the new 2021. If the rating of the IAAR 2019 educational program (EP) graduate "7М01501-Informatics" took the 1st place, the end of the year pleased a leading position in the rating of the NCE RK "Atameken" OP bachelor "6В01501-Informatics", which allows you to confidently implement high-quality set for the development of new graduate programs of pedagogical directions.

Ahead is the implementation of new technologies that we hear a lot about today: artificial intelligence, big data, virtual reality, the Internet of Things. More and more attention is paid to information security in all its manifestations. And the main task of the education sector is to give the IT market confidence that tomorrow their companies will be provided with good personnel.
