EKU scientists exchange experience with leading domestic and international research centers

As part of the project of the Laboratory of Plant Biology and Biotechnology "Development and implementation of innovative technology aimed at giving antiviral resistance to agricultural varieties", foreign business trips to Russia and the United States are planned in 2021.

In the Russian Federation, scientists of the S. Amanzholov EKSU will visit the A. G. Lorch Federal Potato Research Center (Moscow), in the United States of America - the laboratory for the production of virus-free seed material and Potato certification (Montana State University, Potato lab), in Bozeman, Montana.

The project is being implemented under the leadership of the Head of the National Scientific Laboratory for Collective Use (NNLCP), PhD M. Y. Sutula.

In addition, the researchers NNLK plan to buy diagnostic test kits, ELISA test for determination of potato viruses PVY, PVX, PVS, PVM, PVL; primary virus-free seed potato varieties (test-tube plants and microtubers) to update the collection of plant varieties of the UWC them. S. Amanzholova, to see the work of foreign colleagues in the field of molecular biology and biochemistry, create virus-resistant varieties of agricultural plants, obtaining a high-quality virus-free planting material through biotechnology.

The university's scientists will be able to pass on their unique experience to undergraduates and doctoral students.

Based on the results of their internships abroad, the national research laboratory for collective use scientists will gain important and necessary research skills, exchange experience with leading international scientists, and gain new knowledge that will be applied to the development of our country's science.

The results of joint research with international scientists will be published in rating journals included in the WOS and Scopus databases, as well as tested at international conferences, which will significantly increase the scientific significance of the work carried out within the walls of the university.

The research results will be published in the rating journals included in the WOS and Scopus databases.

The management of S. Amanzholov EKU expresses its deep gratitude to the heads of scientific laboratories of the Republic of Kazakhstan for their assistance and highly qualified assistance to the scientists of the University.

Head of National research laboratory of collective use, M. Sutula
