First Secretary of the Embassy of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan: Achievements of the EKSU - an example for other universities

First Secretary of the Embassy of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center Sanjay Garg paid a visit to S. Amanzholov EKSU.

Sanjay Garg is a Master in History, Ph.D. in History, who previously worked as Director of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center (Nur Sultan) as Deputy Director of Archives at the National Archives of India in the Department of Culture, Government of India.

 

The business meeting with Mr. Sanjay Garg was held by the Vice-Rector for Strategic Issues and Scientific Work Irina Vladimirovna Rovnyakova.

 

Vice-rector for SD and SW I.V. Rovnyakova told the guest about the leading positions of the university, the development of science, including history and archeology, about the participation of university students in archaeological excavations, about educational programs of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs, among which are unique, which are not found in any university of the republic, about high rating assessments of the university’s activities, including national and international, on international cooperation.

 

- Today S. Amanzholov EKSU. has more than 100 international agreements with universities in Europe, Russia, China, Mongolia, South Korea, Turkey, the United States and other countries, - said I.V. Rovnyakova. - Since 2011, teachers and staff of EKGU named after S. Amanzholova travels to language courses and internships under the ITEC program in India. In 2018, we signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kaling Institute of Industrial Technology from India. We look forward to further cooperation in the framework of double-degree education and academic mobility of students and teachers.

 

In turn, Mr. Sanjay Garg presented the “Study in India” program, inviting East Kazakhstan students to study in India.

 

The first secretary of the Embassy of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan Sanjay Garg left in the “Book of Wishes of S. Amanzholov EKSU” autographed wish, and also presented the university with souvenirs. In memory of the meeting, a joint photo was taken.
