Main innovations for awarding grants and conducting UNT-2019

As part of the expansion of academic and managerial independence of higher education institutions, from 2019, state educational grants will be distributed among groups of educational programs. Also introduced a new classifier training areas. Until today, in the universities of the country acted classifier, which was a clear list of specialties. Starting from 2019, a new classifier of training areas is being introduced, which will indicate not a list of specialties, but areas of training, in accordance with which universities will independently develop educational programs. In this regard, state educational grants will be distributed in groups of educational programs. For example, the group “Preparing teachers of mathematics” includes such specialties as “Mathematics”, dual specialties “Mathematics-Physics”, “Mathematics-Informatics”, etc. In the group "Information Technologies" - "Informatics", "Information Systems", etc. That is, the distribution of state grants will be carried out among applicants not by specialties, but by groups of educational programs. After the grant is awarded, the applicant (applicant) is enrolled in the university according to his chosen educational program and will be trained in the specialty he chooses when enrolling in the university. It should be noted that the UNT format itself in 2019 will not change. The entrant rents traditionally 3 obligatory subjects (history of Kazakhstan, mathematical literacy, reading literacy) and 2 corresponding specialized subjects. Starting from the current year, the UNT will be held 4 times a year - January, March, June, August.

Participation in the UNT in January, March and August gives the applicant the right to apply to universities for a paid branch. To participate in the competition for the award of a state grant, mandatory participation at the UNT is required in June. And for enrollment in a paid department, it is enough to take part in one of the UNT and score a passing score.

In January, in March, the applicant can take the test at any convenient place for the UNT. To participate in testing, it is only necessary to submit an application to the UNT site (Appendix 1) within the specified time.
