Students of EKSU visited a photo exhibition at the museum

On December 20, in the regional architectural-ethnographic and natural-landscape museum-reserve, an exhibition of photographs "Faces of the past time" from the Pavlodar memorial house-museum named after D. Bagaev opened. It presents more than 40 pictures of Dmitri Bagaev, made by him in the years 1929-1931 about the life and lifestyle of the Kazakh people of Pavlodar Irtysh.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by students of the East Kazakhstan State University. S.Amanzholova together with the teacher E.N.Egorenkova and the head of the Museum of Archeology and Cultural Heritage of the University of Altai J.A. Kalimoldina.

Congratulating those who gathered, Jeanneta Amangeldykyzy noted that in the photographs of Bagaeva the spirit of the times of 1929-1931 was conveyed. The Kazakh family behind the spill of koumiss, the grandfather and grandson of grain milling, the yurt in the steppe - these and other photographs are really the faces of a bygone time. Time, which is getting closer thanks to pictures of Dmitry Bagaev.

But he worked not only in the cabin, but went on expeditions to capture what was happening around in action. In 1929-1931-ies, he shot the nomadic life of the Kazakhs, who then went down in history. Thus, a series of ethnographic photographs presented at the exhibition in the museum-preserve appeared, - told the press service of the museum-reserve. - Photos of Dmitry Bagaev have already visited Karaganda, Omsk, Barnaul.

The expert of the Pavlodar house-museum Dmitry Bagaeva, Nadezhda Maiba, noted the importance of this exhibition for establishing cultural ties with the ethnographic museum-reserve. A guest from Pavlodar presented the museum with the book “Dmitry Bagaev - the chronicler of Pavlodar Irtysh”.

Deputy Director of the Museum-Reserve Yevgeny Rakhmatulin, in turn, handed over to the Director of the House-Museum named after Bagaev T.Z. Adamov a letter of thanks from the management of the Museum-Reserve and the book “Museum Open to the World”.
