The history of the Museum of nature to them. V. S. Bazhanov
The purpose of the museum is to familiarize the biodiversity of the animal world with students of higher educational institutions and students of regional schools.
The Animal Museum was created in 1964 at the Ust-Kamenogorsk Pedagogical Institute. The founder of the museum was a doctor of biological sciences, professor, founder of paleozology of Kazakhstan, head of the department of zoology Bazhanov Valerian Semenovich.
Museum exhibits purchased from relevant institutions. The museum contains exhibits of rare plants and birds, animals. Teachers of the Department of Biology took part in the collection of exhibits and presented the results of scientific research to the museum.
The collection of invertebrate animals, stuffed carcasses, birds and mammals, as well as wet preparations of the liver and amphibians were made by teachers in zoological expeditions, field training practices, during classes, and zoological circles.
In each field season, invaluable information was collected on botany and zoology. Students write scientific papers using exhibits. Exhibits are used in the study of such disciplines as zoology, anatomy, biological evolution. A great contribution to the collection and design of museum exhibits was made by the head of the Department of Biology A. A. Kitapbaev, Professor K. P. Prokopov and senior teachers B. Karmenova, Zh.K. Kabataeva.
A eleventh graders of KSU "High school №20 named after A. Baitursynov" visited the scientific and educational complex "Pearl of East Kazakhstan" in EKSU named after S. Amanzholov.
Preparing the eleventh graders of the city schools for the UNT has started in the Scientific and educational complex "Pearl of East Kazakhstan" together with the Department of biology. Also career guidance work is carried out. On November 14, senior lecturer of the Biology Department Karmenova B. K. gave a lecture to the eleventh graders of the KSU "High school №20 named after A. Baitursynov". Eleventh graders enjoyed listening to lectures and asked a lot of questions.
Many students chose profile disciplines such as biology, geography. Some students want to enter EKSU. S. Amanzholova.
After listening to the lecture, the head of the scientific and educational complex "Pearl of East Kazakhstan" Alipina K. B. conducted a tour for students for career guidance purposes. Acquainted with the history of the Museum of nature named after V. S. Bazhanov, collections of herbarium and ongoing work, minerals of Geology and laboratory of Phytochemistry, pharmacology and pharmacognisies.
She told to students of school about the educational programs such as 6В01505 - Biology, 6В05101 - Biology, 6В01512 - Biology-natural sciences, 6В080301 - Hunting and animal farming, 6В05201 - Geography, 6В01506 – Geography, by which students of our university get knowledge. The students showed great interest in the collected herbarium samples of the university and in the minerals of the geology cabinet.
After the tour, students expressed their gratitude for the information provided to them, and expressed a desire to visit seminars and lecture in our university.
